A.D.D Ministry Launch

Launch of A.D.D Ministry

On the 15th of February 2020, Arise Daughters of Deborah (ADD) was launched at the Epping Club, Sydney, NSW, Australia. We had some amazing speakers join us. Namely, Kerrie Sheaves who is a small business set-up guru and the director of Foundational Business Consulting. Kerrie Sheavesshared about the importance of research, volunteers and creation when starting a non-for-profit. She also penned out three types of people that make small businesses thrive and their respective importance with small businesses; ‘Feelers’, ‘Thinkers’ and ‘Do-ers’.

Secondly, we had Ms. Frasiah Ngugi share on the birth of Faith and Grace Queen’s Ministries. She elaborated on the power of community, humble beginnings and being faithful to Gods calling of your life by stepping out in faith despite the odds.

Then we had Nelsa Simmonds inspire us with her own God-mind-blowing personal testimony and how this led to the conception of her ministry that is pivoted on Restoring identity; IamNelsaSimmonds. The best take-away from Nelsa was that if you don’t know yourself, then you can’t make wise decisions.

The launch then encompassed worship music, fellowship amongst the lovely women attendees.

Our founder Debbie Juma-Knudson also shared on the unfolding of ADD. And no, it is not because she is named Deborah. She proclaimed the book of Judges 4-5 as the word that ADD is firmly rooted on. Contrary to her being named Deborah. Our founder of ADD would like to emphasise the importance of coming together as a church; the more united we are the greater strength we have to do great things for the community!

Ms. Sharon Madu also shared the debut of Penda Windowswhich is a charity that Arise Daughters of Deborah supports. This charity is in East Africa, Kenya, with a heart of helping widows in Kenya to make ends meet in such dire circumstances (e.g. health) that are often stigmatised in society. These dire circumstances inevitably leave these class of women to fend for themselves with no community to lean on. Thus, ADD would like to welcome donations on our website to go towards the widows in Kenya.

Alas, there was time for prayer which is always a personal favourite. Then of course, we had a delicious meal and time to get to know each other and network. Don’t miss the next ADD launch set out for September 19th, 2020; tell a friend to tell a friend! For the meantime, ADD is currently working on mentoring programs for the youths as part of the mandate to prepare and pass the baton to the next generation of women leaders. Therefore, ADD invites all women who have a burden for God’s Kingdom to join this ministry and asks them what contribution they can bring to the body of Christ, that is going beyond their own churches or Ministry!

God bless Daughters of Deborah and Arise!
